Cleanups are easy to start and hard to finish. A group of activists in a Circle can fill hundreds of bags in a morning, but many Nigerian cities have no reliable legal disposal site to take them to, so the bags have nowhere to go.
That is the problem the Clean Nigeria Roadshow is built around, run by Logos with Aquari, a blockchain project that pays people to clean. Aquari ships a truck from China to Lagos, the truck drives a route through Nigerian cities, and each Circle on the route times its cleanup to the truck's arrival and loads what it collects straight in. The work done by activists is paid in $Aquari through the project's own labour coordination app.
For now, six Circle cities are candidates to participate, each with a steward for its stop: Lagos, Abeokuta, Ibadan, Ilorin, Osogbo and Ede, and Abuja. The first activations are planned for September, when the truck rolls out of Lagos.

About Aquari
Aquari is "the world's first decentralized environmental impact organisation." The argument behind it is that environmental work runs on donations and volunteers, and people should be paid fairly for creating positive impact instead. Aquari turns cleanup into paid gig work where cleaners earn Aquari tokens through its app, and supporters fund the system with monthly subscriptions. Founded in April 2021, it has more than four hundred active members and eleven thousand tokenholders by its own count.
