Testnet
The Logos testnet is the public test network for the Logos stack. Each version adds features to the blockchain, storage, messaging and Basecamp. Release notes are published on the Logos roadmap.
Current version
The current version is Testnet v0.3. The Logos Blog announced it on 30 September 2026. On 9 October 2026 the Logos Forum asked node operators to join the Logos 0.3.0 genesis as bootstrap nodes. See Run a node.

v0.1
The roadmap says v0.1 was mainly a test of the backends. UX and developer experience were left for v0.2. It shipped alpha modules for the LEZ wallet, blockchain, storage, chat and an early delivery module. Simple apps covered a blockchain wallet, a LEZ wallet with a faucet, one-to-one chat, file sharing and a mixnet demo. Users could stake, run validators and send tokens. Key exchange for chat was done outside the app, which the roadmap calls "bad UX".
v0.2
The v0.2 release notes are dated 30 June 2026. Main changes:
- LEZ. A LEZ module that other modules can use to prove and sign transactions. An indexer and an explorer. Bridging between the base layer and LEZ. Accounts owned by a group. Oracle, token and DEX programs deployed.
- Blockchain. The Blend Network protects block proposers. Decentralised sequencing through the Zone SDK. The node can run through Basecamp.
- Storage. Anonymous DHT queries over the mixnet. The storage module deployed to testnet.
- Messaging. A unified delivery library. Group chats built on de-MLS with no central server. One-to-one chat rebuilt with multi-device support.
- Basecamp. An App Manager, a refreshed package manager and process isolation for apps.
v0.2.1
The v0.2.1 release notes are dated 2 August 2026. The forum announcement followed on 5 August 2026. Main changes:
- Inscriptions on the base layer now carry fees. LEZ transactions stay free for now.
- New nodes sync faster through a BitTorrent-style download.
- Bridged funds can still take part in staking.
- LEZ accounts must be initialised before use, and the wallet has a button for it.
- Storage adds better NAT traversal.
- Direct chats now use de-MLS, like group chats.
Known issue: LEZ withdrawals were turned off until LEZ supports the new channel ledger. A node operator guide for v0.2.1 followed on 7 September 2026.
v0.3
The Logos Blog announced v0.3 on 30 September 2026. Main changes:
- Proof-of-work onboarding. A new route in: participants earn testnet tokens by doing computational work, so no one has to approve a request first.
- LEZ. Decentralised sequencing, fees for public transactions, cross-zone messages, events and program upgrades. Programs now record changes as diffs, which breaks existing programs.
- Blockchain. Zone sequencers can stake bridged funds on the base layer. A new Logos SQL zone turns a channel into a shared SQL database.
- Storage. Downloads can travel over the mixnet. Storage also serves as the back end for the package manager.
- Messaging. Spam protection with RLN, message history and offline retrieval.
- Basecamp and Core. A Monero wallet and Ethereum wallet apps. The single
logosctltool replaces three older tools. Windows support.
Known issues listed in the notes:
- Chat accounts do not persist yet. Reopening Chat creates a new account.
- RLN proof checks switch on about two weeks after release.
- Faster downloads over the mixnet are planned for v0.4.
The docs say the 0.3.1 blockchain module starts a new chain with a new genesis. Nodes must start with an empty state directory.
Next
The v0.3 notes and blog name v0.4 as the next version. The blog says smaller breaking changes to LEZ are possible in v0.4. No date has been published.
