Getting started
This page lists the ways to take part in Logos. Pick one. Each line points to a wiki page or to the official source.
Try the software
- Install Basecamp. Basecamp is the Logos desktop app. It bundles a node, a wallet, chat, file sharing and a module manager. See Basecamp or download the latest release.
Run a node
- Run a node. Node operators help decentralise and secure the network. The official guide is at docs.logos.co/run-a-node. See Run a node for a summary.
- Sign up for the node programme. Logos takes early-access sign-ups for an upcoming node programme at logos.co/node-programme.
Organise locally
- Join a Circle. Circles are local groups that meet in person at least once a month and work on a local problem. Find one in the Circles directory, on the movement map, or follow How to join a Logos Circle.
- Start a Circle. If there is no Circle near you, propose one through the Circle Steward form. Logos reviews each proposal and replies. The Circles handbook for Stewards explains how to run the first meeting.
Build
- Win a λPrize. λPrizes pay for working, adopted software on the Logos stack. Claims are made by pull request. See λPrize or the prize repository.
- Answer an RFP. RFPs are grants for a set piece of work, paid against milestones. You apply with a proposal. See RFPs or the RFP repository.
- Read the docs and examples. Start with the documentation, the Scaffold boilerplate for LEZ programs, and the sample apps for atomic swaps and multisig.
- Browse community ideas. The Logos Community Idea Board collects project ideas from the community.
- See what is missing. Still to build lists open prizes and RFPs in one place.
Become an Activist Builder
- Apply as an Activist Builder. Activist Builders turn community needs into tools, systems, research, media and infrastructure. Apply at logos.co/activist-builder. See Activist Builder.
Write
Talk to people
- Forum. Circle reports, prize and RFP announcements and tech news are posted on the Logos Forum.
- Discord. The Logos Discord is the main community hub. Builders meet in the #builder-hub channel.
