Circles/Ede
Logos Circle / Ede first met on 6 July 2026 in Ede, Nigeria. Its first meeting was itself an outreach to a public primary school, and it ran a second school outreach in August 2026, with learning materials for pupils and welfare packages for teachers. It is now setting up a monthly Circle fund and local sponsorships so that future school outreaches have funding and transport in place.

Working on
Local context
Public primary schools in Ede face challenges that affect both learners and educators, including limited government funding, inadequate learning materials, and infrastructure gaps. In recent months, some schools in the area have struggled to receive the basic support needed to provide an effective learning environment.
As a new Circle, the community identified education support as an immediate opportunity for impact. Rather than waiting for large institutional interventions, the Circle focused on strengthening a nearby school through direct support, community engagement, and building a foundation for longer-term involvement.
Establish a sustainable funding and logistics model for future education initiatives
Goal:
Create the internal systems needed for the Circle to continue supporting schools consistently without relying on ad hoc fundraising.
Approach:
Build a community support structure through:
- Monthly Circle contributions to fund future school interventions.
- Partnerships with local businesses and organisations for sponsorships.
- In-kind support from community members, including transport and material donations.
- Advance planning with schools to align outreach activities with academic calendars.
Success criteria:
- A recurring Circle education fund is established.
- Future school interventions have confirmed logistics and funding before execution.
- The Circle can support multiple education initiatives throughout the year.
Status: In progress.
The first outreach highlighted key operational challenges around funding, transportation, and scheduling. The Circle is now developing systems to make future interventions more predictable and sustainable.
