Takes are positions, argued and signed. A Take is not neutral, and says so. Reference pages elsewhere on this wiki stick to what sources say. Takes argue about them.

How Takes work

  • A Take is signed by its author.
  • It states its position in its opening paragraph.
  • It links the Ideas, Tools, Projects or Circles it argues about. Those pages list it under Takes on this idea.
  • It ends with its sources.
  • Essays and myth-busting are kept apart from reference pages, as RationalWiki keeps its essay portal apart from its articles.

Kinds of Take

  • Essays: signed arguments.
  • Myths: common claims, each answered.

Write a Take

Create a page named Takes/ followed by your title, sign it at the top, and add [[Category:Takes]] at the bottom. Then add a line linking it under Takes on this idea on each Idea page it argues about.
