Logos Circle / Abuja meets in Abuja, Nigeria. Its reports run from its second meeting in February 2026. It has built a WhatsApp Navigation Assistant to help newcomers get around Abuja and has planned a reading and mentorship programme for school students.

Working on

In September 2026 the Circle identified period poverty as a potential new winnable issue, under the name PadReach. It planned an online consultation with medical input on 26 September before choosing a school for a first activation (t/1944).

Local context: Newcomers and visitors in Abuja rely heavily on expensive ride-hailing apps like Uber because they don't know how to navigate the city using cheaper public transport. With the current hike in oil prices, this is hitting people even harder. Bus stops and landmarks exist but there's no simple guide for people who don't know the city.

Winnable Issue #1: WhatsApp-Based Navigation Assistant

Goal: Build a simple WhatsApp-based navigation assistant that guides people using bus stops and landmarks to get around Abuja cheaply. Think of it as instructional rather than real-time GPS, helping people find less obvious locations using public transport instead of paying for Uber.

Status: In development.

The circle is aiming to have a rough MVP ready before their next meetup.

Winnable Issue #2: Youth Development / School Pilot

Local context: There's a youth development gap in Abuja, especially around reading culture and mentorship for students. The circle wants to bridge this through direct engagement with schools. Goal: Launch a book club and mentorship program in local schools. Once active, students will also contribute local knowledge (routes, landmarks, directions) to help test the navigation tool, giving them a practical, hands-on role.

Status: Paused on the first school due to delayed approval. Currently exploring onboarding a second, more structured school to maintain momentum.

Allies nearby

  • Aquari (Aquari Protocol): partner for an Abuja stop of the Clean Nigeria Roadshow (t/1804). Its African lead joined the Circle's August 2026 meetup. The stop was delayed while approval and a final location were sought (t/1885)
