Basecamp is the Logos desktop app. It bundles a node, a wallet, private chat, file sharing and a package manager. It runs on macOS (Apple silicon), Windows and Linux. See [[Basecamp]].

Use WSL2. The full-node guide assumes a Linux host, and the command-line blockchain guide covers Linux, macOS on Apple silicon and Raspberry Pi 5. On Windows, Basecamp runs the blockchain node through the Linux AppImage under WSL2. See [[Run a node]].

The docs ask for 2 CPU cores at 2 GHz, 1 GB of RAM and 1 to 2 GB of free SSD space. On x86_64 the CPU must support the ADX instruction. A full node also needs a public IPv4 address and several open ports. See [[Run a node]].

Since Testnet v0.3, new participants can earn testnet tokens by proof-of-work mining, without waiting for anyone to approve a request. Your node starts mining once it is online and you run the start command. See [[Run a node]] and [[Testnet]].

Testnet v0.3, announced on 30 September 2026. Its blockchain module 0.3.1 starts a new chain, so nodes must start from an empty state. See [[Testnet]].

λPrize submissions must be dual licensed under MIT and Apache 2.0. RFP work must also be open source under MIT and Apache 2.0, unless Logos agrees otherwise.

In USDT on Ethereum, after your solution is merged. You give your legal name, country and an Ethereum address. The address is public, so a single-use address is suggested. See [[λPrize]].

No. Logos service providers and their contractors may not take part. They are also not counted when judging adoption. See [[λPrize]].

Logos reviews proposals weekly and usually replies within 14 days. A grant only exists once a Grant Agreement is signed. See [[RFPs]].
